Art in Leaves

Pink leaves on the ground

Leaves are synonymous with shades of green. But as they age, they change colours, transforming into warmer tones. As they shrivel up, they fall, allowing newer leaves to emerge.

Fallen leaves rarely strike us as beautiful. We sweep them off our doorsteps and balconies because they aren’t appealing. The old leaves are walked over, unnoticed under our feet. Having fallen, they are now forgotten.

Leaves fall in the most beautiful of arrangements. They arrange themselves in several patterns, like swirling designs in a Van Gogh sky.

I have started to see beauty in them, something I attempt to capture through photography.
